Es ist noch gar nicht so lange her da hat das Label Sleazy Deep die erste Compilation ihrer Future Sleaze Reihe veröffentlicht. Am 10.September folgt nun der zweite Streich. Erwarten darf man eine pralle Compilatation mit 20 Tracks aus dem elektronischen Pop und Deep House Genre.

An dieser Stelle eine Review für jeden einzelnen Track zu schreiben würde den Rahmen sprengen, denn die 20 Tracks die von Rob Made für die zweite Ausgabe ausgewählt worden haben so ziemlich alle ihren ganz persönlichen Charme. Zusammenfassend läßt sich aber sagen, hier liegt uns eine Compilation vor die es in sich hat. Nicht nur die Anzahl der Tracks zu letzten Future Sleaze wurde nochmal deutlich aufgestockt sondern auch der Qualität der Tracks wurde nochmal deutlich gesteigert und läßt sich wunderbar von Anfang bis Ende hören. Der persönliche Favorit ist Daniel Fernandes mit After All.
Fazit:
Eine Compilation die man wirklich jedem Freund von poppigen Deep House Sounds empfehlen kann und von uns den offiziellen Support erhält.

CRM100 TIGA - THE PICTURE

Die Crosstown Rebels feiern ihr Jubiläum zum 100sten Release mit Tiga, in den dreistelligen Bereich einzutreten bedeutet nicht nur, dass man als Label einen ziemlich langen Atem hat sondern zeigt auch wie stark sie arbeiten. Neben dem Namensgeber der EP The Picture befindet sich auch ein Subb-an Remix zu Pleasure From The Bass und man höre auch das Original wird nochmal gereleased. Erscheinungsdatum ist der 27.08.2012.

Crosstown Rebels 100

Man hätte die Nummer 100 nicht besser besetzen können als mit Tiga, überraschend ist es allemal, The Picture enthält zwar das typische Vocal Sample eines berühmten Popsongs aber hier muss man 2 mal hinhören welches der gute Herr da nachgesungen hat. Absolut Peaktime geeignet und keine Deep House Massenproduktion stellt Tiga hier auf die Beine, sondern einen pumpenden Tech House Track, eben á la Tiga elektronisch. Subb-An´s Remix für Pleasure From The Bass katapultiert den Track in das Jahr 2012 und erhält dabei immernoch seinen elektronischen Touch. Das Original von Pleasure From The Bass ist einfach immernoch ein zeitloser Klassiker.
Fazit:
Überraschend aber eine mehr als schöne Überraschung, dieses 100ste Release von Crosstown Rebels.

MOTHER004 - Max Buschfeld - Times New Romance & Home

Nachdem Mother Recordings mit ihrem letzten Release bereits einen großen Wurf gelandet haben, schickt sich das junge Berliner Label mit dem Release von Max Buschfeld an, genau da weiter zu machen wo sie aufgehört haben. Times New Romance & Home heißt das Release und neben den beiden Original Tracks befinden sich jeweils ein Remix von Rhadow & NTFO sowie El_Txef_A & Fiakun Team auf dem Release.

Wow, die jungs machen nicht da weiter wo sie aufgehört haben, sondern setzten mit dem Times New Romance & Home noch richtig einen oben drauf. Von Max Buschfeld habe ich bisher noch nichts gehört, ich hoffe das auf diese EP noch weitere folgen, denn mit dem Track Times New Romance findet die EP einen bezaubern deepen und dennoch groovigen Jackin House Track, verträumt und dennoch perkussiv. Rhadow & NTFO spielen mit der Nummer, machen sie noch deeper, mit einer ordentlichen Portion Pop. Home ist der Kracher auf der EP schlechthin, einer meiner Lieblingspopsong-Samples wurde hier verwendet und daraus eine Peaktime Nummer geschraubt bei der man auf dem Floor am liebsten die Hände in die Luft reißen würde um mit einem Grinsen durch die Luft zu springen. El_Txef_A & Fiakun Team, machen es in ihrem Remix ganz anders, wunderschöner Deep House mit einem Piano bei dem man die Augen schließen kann um glücklich vor sich hin zu Träumen.
Fazit:
Was für eine großartige EP, das wird ein Hit!

Don’t be mistaken by our newest family member’s modest ways, his well-mannered aloofness, his unagitated presence. Max Buschfeld’s inner calm not only makes him glow from the outside, it all the more makes him bring out some very individual and imaginative sounds and melodies. Being capable of putting together a diversity that range from his passion for piano cascades and modulated synthies to his musical fundament of Nu Chicago House. Haven’t heard the sounds of Bukarest yet? Well, that’s exactly where we went looking for new underground talents. Rhadow & NTFO have been busy building up the house scene in Romania for the last couple of years and have come up with some very functional and therefore quite effective and sophisticated club- and dance music. They added some crispy claps to the track and made it a whole lot edgier with sharp piano hits and a groove that moves a couple of gears up.

The title of the flipside of Mother004 might just convey one of the central elements our label is about: The feeling of being exactly where you want to be, the warmth and the comfort of the here and now. Why go home when home is exactly where you are? When the perfect moment is here, on the dancefloor, in a track, in a beautiful pair of mysterious eyes on the other end of the room? It must have to do with being Basque: Nothing about this tune is what you expect it to be. El_Txef_A & Fiakun Team, after John Talabot and Pional the next hot export from Spain, are a pair of musical libertines, delivering a free spirited remix that is one of a kind, be it for the classical piano and flute elements that have a spheric loungy feel to it, be it for the way they pitch the vocal and split it into pieces that they carefully reassemble to create a whole new little world around it. This is music for aficionados, romantic in a non-cheesy way.

Was Dale Howard da für das Off Recordings Label produziert hat, ist eine absolute Kracher EP. Wenn nicht alle 4 Tracks dieser EP in den DJ-Sets weltweit hoch und runter laufen werden dann falle ich vom Glauben an die gute Musik ab. In ihrem Pressetext beschreiben sie es eigentlich schon am besten, denn die Tracks haben Jacking Beats, starke Samples, groovige Basslines und sind absolut Dancefloor geeignet. Doch scheinbar haben die Herren vergessen, dass wir hier auch großartige Vocals vorfinden und in allen Tracks ganz viel Seele steckt.
Fazit:
Eine der besten EP´s die ich in den letzten Wochen gehört habe.

Ziemlich housig geht es auf der neuen EP von Katermukke zu. Just A Minute ist die typische Deep House Nummer mit nettem Vocal. Shadow Of Love ist dagegen doch etwas auffälliger, besonders das Break zeigt viel stärke, verfällt allerdings dann doch wieder schnell in die herkömmlichen Muster.
Fazit:
Nette EP, nichts besonderes aber auch keine schlechte EP.

Das neue Tonkind Release, Markey - Dawn, erscheint am 29. Juli physikalisch wie man so schön sagt und die Freunde des digitalen Download müssen sich noch bis zum 14.Juli gedulden.

Dieses Release ist anders und ein wenig crazy vom Sound. Markey setzt hier auf minimale Sounds, durchsetzt mit Sample Snippets und deepen verspulten Vocals. Bestens für einen langen durchfeierten Sonntag geeignet scheint die ganze EP auf jeden Fall. Sehr verspielt sind die Tracks, es klickert hier und da, verfrickelt sich und löst sich dann doch wieder in Geradlinigkeit.
Fazit:
Anders als die meisten Releases, verspult und toolig.

The “Dawn” EP is the debut release of Markey alias “Sander Markey,” who recently
settled down in Berlin after living and working as a Dj and Producer in Gent, Belgium.
Markey has delivered four intriguing tracks covering the spectrum of dark to funky grooves
and soulful voices. With support from Mz. Sunday Luv, who gave her voice for the sexy,
intermezzo on “Dawn” the EP starts off with alluring rhythmic beats and Mz. Sunday Luvʼs
hot, broken vocals, reminiscent of Kate Simko. Repetitive grooves and the marching 303
bass drum are topped with a dark, demanding voice delivering a mystic message. What
first sounds like a charming dirty string ensemble, is then paired with an odd delayed
snare, morphing to signal the beginning of the stalkerʼs rant.
“Spring Break” brings on a warmer, funkier groove. Speeding up the tempo a bit, with
stellar high hats, warm synths, jungle bongos, nice drops and funky male vocals give this
track wide spread appeal and dance-ability.
“In the Shade” made in cooperation with Yannick Robyns, delivers more warm and funky
grooves. The Bobby McFerrin vocal sample is playful and combined with small bits of
exotic spice which brings a more mellow and soulful vibe to the track.
“Facing the Clouds” closes the EP with a melodic and ethereal journey. Quirky and
snappy uptempo beats layered over slower, sliding atmospheric beats, combine to lay the
perfect foundation for the warm, chilled, eccentric vocals.

Mobilee schickt sich offiziel an die dreistellige Zahl bei Releases zu erreichen, damit nicht die Qualität darunter leidet ist für die Nummer 95 Mister Rodriguez Jr. erneut verpflichtet worden. Das Release wird leider nur rein digital ab dem 16.Juli erhältlich sein und trägt den Namen Muppet Anthem.

Mobilee 095

Acid Tech House der feinsten Sorte erwartet uns hier, 4 starke Tracks zwar mit ähnlichem Muster produziert aber genau soetwas macht eine EP auch aus. Pumpende Synthie Basslines, dazu starke Vocals abgerundet mit verträumten Flächen. Muppet Anthem und Ocean Drive sind bestens Peaktime geeignet. Satelite ist mit viel Liebe gefüllt und Palo Alto rundet die EP mit seinem Disco Touch wunderbar ab.

Only five releases away from the 100th, Rodriguez Jr. delivers on the 095 with a generous 4-track, digital only edition titled "Muppet Anthem".

The self-titled number makes up the first track on the EP with a pleasant array of upbeat house-party elements and groovy vocals making this piece of work totally dance-floor worthy in the heat of the summer.
Seething down to the second track, "Ocean Drive" takes it down a notch by starting the track with exotic and tropical elements as it progresses into a high peak of faster beats and steady keyboard strikes. Its a number that will leave your feet grounded as your swaying shoulders and bobbing head lead the dance.

Stark wie sich hier das Break aufbaut und man am Ende des Breaks einfach nur noch die Hände hochreißen will mit einem breiten Grinsen im Gesicht. Der Jacob Korn ist genau das Gegenteil vom Stefanik Remix, ein bezaubernder und liebvoll entspannter Deep House Track in dem ganz viel Liebe steckt. Osunlade´s Remix von let´s take off ist sehr funky geraten und am Ende der EP wird es mit dem Klincke Auf Chinch Remix von I Wanna nochmal richtig deep.
Fazit:
Schöne EP die zu den Kandidaten für einen Sommerhit gezählt werden muss.

Marbert Rocel, the East German indie pop’n’jazz sensation and live band just brought their third album “Small Hours” to life, capturing a deep sense for beats, smoking, songs, indie pop trips including leftfield house- and jazzy affairs. As Groove magazine wrote “...an album finally progressed their own stunning charm into a higher sphere of danceable indie pop”. Well, it’s true, Marbert Rocel music is light and sunny, but they working hard with patience, belief, a lot of cigarettes, and dozens of live gigs around Europe, to spread their charm with passion and a wicked glints in their eyes. There is this lack of pretention in their music which everybody loves, actually people from the techno, soul, jazz or pop worlds even all seems to be convinced.
Now we are embarking with the first remix package of their third album:
Starting with Daniel Stefanik propeller tech tune, a monster of the month. Over the last years, he produced a lot of different records on diverse labels: Kann, Freude am Tanzen, Cocoon Records or Cargo Edition. And don ́t forget his numerous remixes with the completely special „Stefanik-Style". 2009 he united with Sven Tasnadi and Stefan Schultz (Juno6) to provide their home base Leipzig, and to create the Label: Oh Yeah Records. Daniel is currently working on his second album, which will be released on Cocoon Records in 2012.
Secondly, Jacob Korn from Leipzig recently approved his seductive feel of deep house again and again. So if you take look to his career and followe his releases and remixes, you can’t deny that he is one of the men of 2012.
Osunlade is one of those established entrepreneurs and deep house dons who won`t need any further introduction. His “Envision” track went straight into nearly all “best of “-top ten of 2011. He was really digging Marbert Rocel’s productions, so he came up with compliments, roses and this awesome groovy remix. Available as an instrumental version on vinyl while the vocal version is available as download.
Last but not least Klinke Auf Cinch, a collective consisting of Clemens Kynast and Lutz Hartmann from Jena, Germany, who are living close to that place, where Marbert Rocel are smoking. They deliver an aromatic airy deephouse tune. Together they produce a mixture between slower house, faster jazz, reduced pop and harmonised minimal. On their live performances, they always surprise with changing vocalists, gifted soloists and different musicians.

ATMEP022 - Remcord - Slipe

Das Belgische Label Atmosphere Records erhält Zuwachs und zwar von Remcord aus Frankreich und dem Berliner René Bourgeois. Beide werden auch neben Stereo Express auf der neuen Veröffentlichung zu hören sein. Remcord hat diese produziert und Name der EP wird schlicht Slipe heißen.

Freunde von minimalen Sounds werden das Label sicherlich recht gut kennen, auch in der neuen Veröffentlichung ist genau dieser Sound Programm. Am auffälligsten sind auf dieser EP das Orignial von Slipe mit seiner fröhlich schunkelnden Bassline und dem spooky Sample, da kommt Freude auf. Der Remix den Stereo Express zusammen mit Sasko gezaubert hat ist etwas pulsierender, lebendieger. Reduziert auf die wichtigsten Elemente und dem extra Einsatz der Saxophone Melodie, welche viel Harmonie ins Spiel bringt. Der Bandit Remix von René Bourgeois ist zwar der typische Sound wie man ihn von Mister Nice Guy mag allerdings ist er der persönlichen Meinung einfach zu gradlinig, was aber auch das Problem mit dem Original Track ist.

Für Freunde der minimalen Gute Laune Musik geeignete EP

Der Remixtitel von den Adana Twins "Pop is not dead" trifft es eigentlich am besten um diese EP zu beschreiben. Angesichts solcher Releases ist Pop schon lange nicht mehr so stark gewesen. Ein verdammt groovendes Monster ist das Original geworden, eine gelungene Verschmelzung von Deep House, Pop und Acid House der 90er Jahre ist dieser Track geworden. Tomorrow fällt zwar leider nicht ganz so stark aus aber hat durchaus seinen Charme. Großartig ist die treffende Bezeichnung für den Adana Twins Remix und oben drauf gibt es noch einen bezaubernden techy Deep House Remix von Marcin Czubala.
Fazit:
Großer Wurf des noch jungen Labels aus Polen.

Konrad Slazyk and Mateusz Kazula are the fresh-faced pair hailing from the banks of the River Odra. Having made a crushing impact with their debut release, the 'Better EP' earlier this year on Pets Recordings, Viadrina have been working away tirelessly in the studio refining and polishing their sounds and skills. An endearing innocence can be heard in their music and their versatile, warm and uplifting style is immediately attractive to the ear. Monoton, minimal, precussive, groovig, toolig der Track Approaching Dawn vereint das komplette Programm, dabei schiebt sich der Subbass so groovig stark vor sich hin, dass dieser einem förmlich dazu auffordert zu tanzen, toolig wie der Track ist macht es mit Sicherheit Spaß diesen Track im Mix laufen zu lassen. Octaves schlägt im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes Stück für Stück die Octaven, Chicago House der besten Sorte, monoton und hypnotisch.
Fazit:
Starke EP mit endlich nicht so überladenen Martinez Tracks die viel Groove und Spaß versprechen.

Danish producer Martinez has always had a certain way with bass. His debut Cadenza EP 'Mzuzu' in 2011 featured two cuts built around a pulsating heart of bass, and here on his second Cadenza EP he plays with the intoxicating frequency again, but this time it's dirtier, funkier and housier.
If 'Mzuzu Chant' and 'Adagio' were fuel injected by bass, 'Approaching Dawn' and 'Octaves' are pure bass symphonies. The tracks remind us that, whilst bass in its raw form can be an effective blunt instrument for knocking a dancefloor senseless, when it is carefully crafted into a melody, it becomes something more potent: it gets inside your head. After all, if you want to shake the foundations of a club to the ground, you might as well do it with style.
The first track 'Approaching Dawn' features loose house rhythms and short samples on loop. The whole rhythm structure is free spirited, like a smokey percussion outfit who don't mind dropping out of time occasionally if it means they can sneak in another puff of ganja. When the bass melody hits early on in the track, it doesn't let go, forever rolling through its notes like a broken escalator that rises up four steps before dropping you back down those same four steps. Yet despite the repetition, its a ride you don't want to jump off.
With hi hat sprinkles and congo rattles providing added energy, 'Approaching Dawn' has a wild tribal feel at times, but its ground shaking bassline gives it an urban rave vibe. It conjures up the memory of a gritty London or Berlin warehouse rattling into the night. As the track progresses, the bassline remains in tact, like a solid and reliable clock, leaving the beats free to run undisciplined into a happy mess.
The aptly titled second track 'Octaves' features a very low frequency bass melody that acts as a musical counterpoint to some warm pad chords that play an octave or two above, guiding the track elegantly like the captain of ship propelled by his rowers below.
There's a lot of speed in the bass at times, yet there is little aggression in its overall direction as the soft pads above wrap it in a warm Detroit-esque blanket. There's a deep joy to be found amongst Martinez' smart changes in pace and tone here. With its few simple elements, 'Octaves' manages to construct an absorbing dancefloor story that leave you on the edge of your seat.

Was wir von dieser EP erwarten können ist ein deeper, verspielter Sound, wie man ihn leider viel zu selten erlebt. Our Music lebt von seinen Synthie´s und dem hereinbrechenden, alles überscheinenden Vocal, welches letztendlich auch den Track trägt. Endlich ein Track in dem man sich komplett fallen lassen kann, gelungen ist ebenso der Wechsel zwischen reinem Percussions Part mit Vocal und dem erwähnten verspielten Synthie Flächen. Der &Me Remix von Our Music klingt wie der typische &Me Track, doch genau dass erwartet man auch von seinem Tracks, schleichender Groove, mit einem Hauch des Synthies und mehr Raum für die Vocals ist dieser nahezu hypnotisierend. The Price ist eine wunderschöne Deep House Hymne wie man sie schon lange nicht mehr gehört hat und auch im Break setzt sich die verspielte Ader von den Animal Trainers durch. Gelungen kann man nur sagen. Time 2 C klingt in seinem 1:30 Minuten langem Break wie eine verquerte und dennoch harmonische Mischung aus Jean Michelle Jarre, The Doors und Pop, nur um sich dann nach Ende des Breaks in ein Bassline-Monster freizulassen, welches wohl so ziemlich jeden auf die Tanzfläche befördern wird.
Fazit:
Starke EP der Schweizer und alle 4 Tracks sind absolute Empfehlung. Volle Punktzahl, wenn wir ein Bewertungssystem hätten.

Rausgekommen ist bei der ersten Compilation ein bunter Mix an Deep House und Tech House Tracks, die von elektronisch über Pop lastig bis hin zum treibenden Peak Time Sound alles bedienen. Die auffälligsten Tracks der Sammlung sind C'mon Girl von Martijn, geladen mit einer groovigen, deepen Bassline. Piano For Kim von Ross Caiden der seinen stampfenden Track mit einem wunderschönem Piona Loop unterlegt. Der Track von Youri Donatz und Bjorn Wolf namens Katze Und Die Maus, weil er ein hypnothisierender Peak Time Groover ist und Nowhere Feat. Marcie & Thorr von Lucio Malatoid weil er mit soviel Liebe diese Compilation abschließt.
Fazit:
Angenehme Compilation, bei der zwar nicht alle Tracks unser Herz und Gehör berühren aber mit einigen Tracks die wirklich bestens auf den Sommer zugeschnitten sind.

and here Neurotraxx Deluxe have compiled a perfectly fitting album to portray their

The excitement begins with Track 1, 'C'mon Girl' where Martijn provides a straight up
bass heavy bomb. 'Gangsta Love' sees old school hip-hop vocals leading a killer
bassline. Ross Caiden's 'Piano for Kim' is a beautifully fluttering piece lead by a rolling
percussion and a classy piano loop, which follows by his slamming house tune 'Bricklane
Beatdown.' Youri Donatz offers the deep tribal elements with 'Drei' while David Pher
comes in with a captivating tech-house groove with 'One Shine'. Beautifully applied vocals
make Per Hammar's track 'Get That' a notable addition to the compilation, and finally

Das Label für die Katze oder besser gesagt, das Label Katermukke veröffentlicht heute bereits das 13te Release, produziert wurde es von Sven Tasnadi und trägt den Doppelnamen Raw Wedding/ Just For Freaks.

Wie immer erwartet uns auch bei diesem Release ein verträumter Sound, allerdings anders als bei den Vorgängern, besitzt Raw Wedding einen ziemlich straighten Beat und ähnelt sehr dem Chicago House Style mit seinem Vocal und den Percussions. Just For Freaks ist wirklich ein durchgeknallter Track, ziemlich ungewohnt für ein Kater Release .
Fazit:
Ungewohntes Release für Katermukke aber irgendwie haben die beiden Tracks ihren Charm und die Daseinsberechtigung auf dem Label durch ihre etwas verrückte Art.

Das Original von Affenstillstand Evolution ist eigentlich gar kein Affenstillstand sondern läßt den Affen richtig los im Club. Gut gelaunt präsentiert sich der Minimal Tech House Peaktime Track mit seiner Schunkel Bassline und dem Zirkus Riff. Tinush tut es in seiner Version gleich überrascht aber zusätzlich mit einem Akkordeon Einsatz. Der Oscar Berngruber Remix fällt wie ein alter Disco Funk Track aus ähnlich wie der Remix von Matthias Kick der allerdings sich stärker in Richtung Deep House entwickelt.
Fazit:
Ein gut gelauntes sommerliches Release bei dem vom Peaktime Track bis zum deepen Disco Funk Track alles dabei ist. Favoriten auf der EP sind das Original und der Tinush Remix aufgrund ihrer Stimmung.

Steyoyoke das Label mit den kreativen Covern für ihre Releases veröffentlicht am 15.Juni ihr nächstes Release, Sasch Back And Forth. Enthalten sind hier die drei Tracks I Just Want, Come On und Marian.

Sasch der sich bereits durch Releases auf Crosstown Rebels und Neurotraxx Deluxe einen Namen als Produzent gemacht hat, setzt auch in seinem ersten Release für Steyoyoke auf Deep House Sound. I Just Want ist ein gut gelungener Open Air Deep House Track, mit seinem warmen Vocal, seinen leichten Disko-Elementen und der groovigen Bassline. Come On überzeugt vor allem durch seine starke liebevolle Melodie, die schon fast ähnlich eines Popmusik Songs den Track mit sehr viel wärme füllt. Noch gerade so dem Deep House zuzuordnen ist Marian, ein schöner Track mit progressivem Aufbau und einem absolut bezaubernden Synthie.

Using numerous alias's with releases on such labels as Crossworld Records and Neurotraxx Deluxe, Sasch has built himself a reputable name as a skilled producer, his first release on Steyoyoke, certainly is a prove. Rausgekommen auf dem ersten Vinyl-Release der Antientertainers ist eine wunderschöne Electro-Pop Ballade der beiden, die definitiv eine Empfehlung wert ist. Viele werden das Original von Singing With Love bereits vom Live Set der beiden kennen und mögen. Des weiteren befinden sich noch Remixe von Patrick Arbez, K. Larm & J. Raninen und The Sleeper auf der Vinyl.
Fazit:
Ein starkes Original welche die Remixe von Singing With Love, die leider auch zu weit entfernt vom Original sind, in den Schatten stellt.
