Am 25.07. veröffentlichten die Herren von Off Recordings Release Nummer 34, dafür hat man sich die Ausnahmeerscheinung Dale Howard an Board geholt. Die EP enthält 4 Original Tracks und heißt Some Other Guy.

Was Dale Howard da für das Off Recordings Label produziert hat, ist eine absolute Kracher EP. Wenn nicht alle 4 Tracks dieser EP in den DJ-Sets weltweit hoch und runter laufen werden dann falle ich vom Glauben an die gute Musik ab. In ihrem Pressetext beschreiben sie es eigentlich schon am besten, denn die Tracks haben Jacking Beats, starke Samples, groovige Basslines und sind absolut Dancefloor geeignet. Doch scheinbar haben die Herren vergessen, dass wir hier auch großartige Vocals vorfinden und in allen Tracks ganz viel Seele steckt.
Fazit:
Eine der besten EP´s die ich in den letzten Wochen gehört habe.

Die beiden talentierten Herren Leftwing & Kody hatten am 11.07. ihr Debüt, mit der EP Bump & Flex, auf dem Label Off Recordings. Neben den 4 Orignal Tracks befindet sich auch ein Remix von Andre Crom auf dem Release.

Was die beide für das 33te Release des Labels auf die beide gestellt haben, kann sich mehr als hören lassen. Bump & Flex und You Don't Know sind wirklich sehr starke Jack House Nummern, die Spaß bringen. Feel So Free fällt ähnlich aus bietet nur noch einen starken Synthie Bass aus Zugabe. Going Down schwingt ebenso stark die Bassline.
Fazit:
Klasse Debüt EP mit 5 Tracks die sich alle hören lassen können.

Heute erschienen auf OFF Recordings erschienen ist die neue EP von Andre Crom, Reality heißt diese und enthält neben den beiden Original Tracks Reality und Hynotizing, Remixe von Dusky und Homework.

Nach Andre Crom´s starkem Track auf der letzten OFF Spin, macht er genau da weiter wo er aufgehört hat. Reality ist ein grooves Monster mit dominanten Synthie Bass und 90er Jahre Vocal. Der Track bleibt auf jeden Fall schnell im Kopf hängen. Dusky verwandelt Reality in ein richtigen 90er Jahre Acid House Track mit etwas mehr Feuer und einer aufregenden Acid Hook. Hypnothizing im Original ist ähnlich wie Reality, ein wahres Synthie Monster, groovig und sommerlich gut gelaunt. Der Holländer Homework macht aus seiner Interpretation einen herrlich entspannten Track mit bezaubernder Melodie. Wie immer am ende des Artikels findet ihr die passenden Vidoes des Releases.
Fazit:
Ein wirklich starkes Release vom Berliner Andre Crom.

Andre Crom´s Shout, ist ein Cover von Tears For Fears Klassiker Shout und gleichzeitig der stärkste Track der VA. Sehr schön wie er mit dem Vocal arbeitet und dieses in einen Acid House Track umwandelt. Wildkats Must You Be So Mean ist eine gut gelaunt hüpfender Deep House Track geworden. Hialeah House Party von Jesse Perez zeigt sich wie ein House Track aus den Anfängen der 90er, Perkussion lastig und einem etwas verrücktem Vocal. Connected umschließt die ganze Reise der VA und schleudert uns zurück in die 80er mit seinem dominanten Synthie. Natürlich gibt es für die Youtube Freunde am Ende des Post, wieder die passenden Videos zum Release.
Fazit:
Der Liebling auf dieser VA ist Andre Crom´s Shout aber alle 4 Tracks fühlen sich an als hätten sie eine kleine Zeitreise gemacht und wären zeitlose Klassiker aus den 80ern und 90ern.

With "Shout" Andre Crom presents a deep and sleazy bassline-monster with anthemic vocals.

Joyce Muniz is a Vienna-based, Brazilian Dj, vocalist, club promoter and producer, who is currently one of the leaders of a new undefined musical style which fuses European club sounds with tropical rhythmic influences from Brazil, South America, Africa and the Carribbean, while built on a solid foundation of percussion and heavy bass.
Born in 1983 in Sao Paulo, Joyce Muniz arrived in Vienna during the mid nineties and was soon introduced to the vibrant Viennese electronic music scene. Short after her first DJ gig at the tender age of 16, she began collaborating as a vocalist with Markus Dohelsky aka Shanti Roots (Vienna Scientists) and I-Wolf (Sofa Surfers/Klein Records). In 2006, Muniz teamed up with Stereotyp for the first time and together, created the first Funk Mundial 12” “Uepa/Jece Valadao” (Man Recordings) and Ku bo Ep 1 and 2. In 2007, she and Shanti Roots started producing under the name of Monte Laa Prod and released their first 12”.
In 2008 she contributed her vocals to the Cusmos (Herwig Kusatz ad Karl Möestls) track “Garoto,” which is was released on the Kruder & Dorfmeister label G-stone. Joyce Muniz also did some collaboration with Flore, Buscemi and Skero. The "Get Your Conga On" EP released on Top Billin Rec in June 2010, immediately jumped to the top 20 on Juno download site. In August she released the "Cumbia Madness EP" with production partner Shanti Roots, on NYC based label Sol*Selectas, which held a top 10 position for the several weeks on Traxsource.com, resulting in #9 position for the entire month of August. Her next solo release "Party Over Here", which debuts in mid November on Shir Khan's well known label Exploited, has already received massive DJ support throughout Europe, and DJ Mag has hailed it "the electro single of the month".
In addition to her DJing and production work, Joyce earned an Amadeus (Austrian equivalent to a Grammy) for her vocal work with Austrian rapper Skero on the hit single "Kabininparty", which won the "Best Song of the Year" award, as well as 2 other nominations.
With a full schedule of international gigs, Joyce’s funky percussion based DJ sets provide a unique and diverse sound taking the listener on a musical journey through Afro beats, Tropical Tech, Electro, and House, and guarantee serious sweating on the dance floor.

Das Label OFF Recordings ist bekannt für seinen Deep House Sound, auch hier bleiben sie der Linie treu. Robosonic´s Worst Love bedient sich an alt bekannten Pop Samples und wandelt diese in einen gut gelaunten, sommerlichen Deep House Sound um, sehr gut tanzbar und DJ´s werden sich freuen, denn der Track ist sehr gut geeignet zum Mixen. Ebenfalls bestens geeignet ist der Track aber auch für einen ordentlichen Sommerhit. Doctor Dru verpasst der Kick in seinem Worst Love Remix etwas mehr Druck und einen kräftig, dominaten Synthie, nicht ganz so perkussiv wie das Original allerdings bekommt der Track eine ordentlich Tiefe in seiner Erscheinung. Hingegen läßt Fritz Zander in seinem Remix von Worst Love die Shaker sprechen und erzeugt damit ein sehr angenehmes Kribbeln in den Fingern, welches sich von dort aus über den ganzen Körper verteilt. Der letzte Track der EP Thankful ist ein wunderschön verspielter Track. Sehr viel Spaß macht es, wie hier mit den Percussions und Elementen von House gespielt wird. Da kann man eigentlich nur gute Laune bekommen.
Fazit:
Eine EP die bestens auf den Sommer vorbereitet ist, sehr viel gute Laune steckt hier in den Tracks. Unsere Favoriten sind eigentlich alle Tracks der EP, denn jeder hat auf seine Art das gewisse Etwas.
Auf jeden Fall eine EP die gute Aussichten hat ein amtlicher Sommerhit zu werden.

Berlin-based Robosonic welcome the springtime with their first OFF EP.
"Worst Love" uses an anthemic sample to create a groovy dancefloor burner with tight groove.
Doctor Dru delivers a contemporary underground pop remix.
Fritz Zander from the Suol collective made a "Panorama Bar 9 am"-styled remix for the real house-heads.
And with "Thankful", Robosonic give us a 2nd original track, slightly more toolish than Worst Love.
