Was soll man sagen, guckt man auf Label und Produzent, so schaut man nicht schlecht. Überraschen und es verspricht so einiges. Zumal H.O.S.H. aka Holger Behn eher das ist was man einen DJ nennt als einen Produzenten. Eines muss man H.O.S.H. aber lassen, wenn er etwas auf den Markt bringt ist es ein Kracher. Auch das Konzept von Ego auf Poker Flat mit den Tracks Don Arp als Original und Dub, sowie Facebook, nein hier ist der Track gemeint nicht sondern das Netzwerk. Don´t Arp kann man nur als echten Kracher bezeichenen, elektronisch wie ein 80er Jahre Synthie Song, gemischt mit Acid House und Vocal der 90er Jahr. Wenn wir so das Comeback der 90er feiern, dann freue ich mich auch diese Phase ab sofort darauf. Der Track Facebook ist genauso ein grooviges Monster geworden. So macht Deep House Spaß.Fazit:
Eine EP die mich absolut begeistert, wild und rockt dazu.

legend in the German house scene. An exceptional DJ, prolific producer
and crucial part of Hamburg’s hugely influential Diynamic crew, H.O.S.H.
has helped shape the contemporary house landscape like few others.
'Ego', his latest 12“ release on Poker Flat Recordings, demonstrates his
absolute mastery of the dancefloor, a result of his vast experience
behind the decks.
'Don Arp' kicks off this 12" – a mid-tempo banger that works as perfectly early-on in a set as it would at a peak-time strobe-n-smoke moment. The vibe is pure heads down funk - from the irresistible groove to the ecstatic cut up vocals – but it’s the filthy, Funktion One-troubling bassline that fully detonates this basement bomb. Don Arp is going to tear up all sorts of dancefloors for a long time to come.
The dub version of 'Don Arp' puts a new slant on the same growling groove, dispensing most of the vocals and letting the synths bubble and the clattering hats and snares dominate.
Sharing the B side with the dub, comes 'Facebook'. Way more fun than the social network, H.O.S.H drops another heavy-grooving body-mover. Clocking in at 114bpm, the track hints at that slightly deranged part of the night – a pitched down vocal, a neurotic melody and enough grit and attitude to rock any flagging feet.
